Ricardo, épiCO owner will pick you up at Cali’s airport and will take you to your hotel of choice for your first night. We will provide a range of places you can chose from depending on your preferences. We can also offer our home and épiCO’s headquarters to stay the first night free of charge, and if you behave, Ricardo will even make you breakfast in the morning.

Depending on how tired you are or how late we make it back to Cali, (about 30 min from airport), we will go out and enjoy a welcome dinner and a drink so you get a taste of Cali’s nightlife.

épiCO will pick you up at your hotel between 6:30 and 7 AM and take you back to épiCO’s headquarters where all riders will meet for a short briefing, waiver signing, and bike fitting… and a most needed breakfast!

Kickstands 8:00 am.

We will head south of Cali about 2.5 hours to the small town of Silvia where indigenous communities and beautiful landscapes make this place unique and a must to visit.

After walking around and doing some riding around Silvia, we can continue our journey south through never-ending twisties to Popayan, “The White City” located between the Colombian Western Mountain range and Center mountain range where we will stop for lunch. Popayan is famous for its beautiful colonial architecture and gastronomy.

How about a natural hot springs bath to finish up the day? We will spend the night about 25 km from Popayan at the Coconuco Hot Springs Hotel.

We are riding up the Purace Volcano! This active volcano (we will make sure they turn it off that day don’t worry) is about 4750 meters above sea level and on a clear day the views are breathtaking! We will ride to 4000 meters through abandoned sulfur mines. If we are feeling extra adventurous we can hike up the other 650 meters. This stretch has some intermediate off-road riding.

Continuing our exciting journey, we head southeast to San Agustín Archaeological Park, this site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 and contains the largest collection of religious monuments and megalithic sculptures in Latin America[1] and is considered the world’s largest necropolis, definitely an interesting site and a must see!

Heading northeast now, it is time to put down some serious kilometers to reach the Tatacoa Desert where we will spend the night. This is about 6-hour ride. A completely different landscape and terrain make this a unique spot!

You will beg to stay one more hour at the pool, so we will stay one more hour at the pool and then continue our adventure ride to Salento in the heart of the famous Colombian coffee region. This peaceful and colorful colonial town will take your breath away. We will visit the Cocora Valley and will relax the rest of the afternoon walking around town and enjoying some beverages at the square.

This is when we start making our descent back to our starting point. We still have plenty of awesome country roads, twisties and unpaved roads ahead. On our way back we will make a little detour to El Cairo, this hidden jewel is a must see little town surrounded by 360 degree majestic views. El Cairo is about 4 hours away from Cali.

If you think this trip is over think again, épiCO will end this journey on its family owned tropical Ranch “Barlovento” where we will be welcomed with ice cold beverages by the pool and awesome food ON US!! Ricardo will drive you back to the airport, this is if you haven’t already postponed your flight and decided to stay one more week!
